Topic: Davinci 1.0 wont show up on windows 10 or el capitan

My printer was working fine with windows 7. I upgraded to windows 10 and at first everything seems to work, but then I tried to start a print. It started to transfer the job, but immediately said printer disconnected. It did this 2 or 3 times, now I cant even get windows 10 or el capitan to see the printer. Under device manager is says " unknown usb device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) error code 43.

I upgraded to the latest firmware for xyzware that come out today. My printer has 1.2.7 installed (grey version)

Anyone else having this issue??

If you are not using a case port, then what port are you using? Make sure you are not using a 3.0 port. In wind 10 it tried to force all ports to run as 3.0 that can, and the chip on the Da Vinci that handles USB comm is not a 3.0 device. So make sure your port of choice is 2.0 port if you plan to stay on Win 10.. Personally I went back to 7 as Win 10 has no advantage over 7 other than a prettier interface.. The problems it caused where not worth it. You can roll back 7 for up to a month from the initial upgrade date. There is a recovery option that will put the system back as it was except for things installed under 10.

Were you able to get the printer to run under El Capitan? I am about to upgrade and am worried because I've found a few complaints about incompatibility.
