Topic: Is there really "no way" to revert beck from Repetier .92 MOD? DUO

Taking on the Slic3r Mod turned out to be much more of a hassle for me than it was anything else. My printer was working at least 10x better than it is now after installing that firmware. I really didn't know what I was getting into and how great my printer was actually working before I switched to Repetier. I used to be able to just finish up a design on CAD, upload it to xyzware and hit print and I'd get consistently very good prints. I MISS THAT. I feel like an idiot.

If anyone could point me in the right direction to reflashing the duo with the xyzware, I would be forever grateful. If there really is no way, I guess I'm stuck with this.

I feel there is, but others say there is not.

The issue is that you need to be able to short the erase pin on the processor to 3.3 volts. However on the DUO board that pin is not connected to anything. You would need to manually go in with a wire, connect it to 3.3 volts then touch that one pin on the cpu and no others for just a second. That should put the chip in erase mode and allow you to use bossac to put one of the original firmware bin files back on.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Oh okay so this erase pin is different from the J37 pin used to erase the firmware before I used Arduino to put repetier on?

You can short the pins and get into bossac mode.  You can even flash the stock firmware and get a successful message message, but you're still going to end up with 2 black bars at boot up.  This horse has been beaten to death.
