Topic: Da Vinci AIO Error #14

I have been getting error #14 (The temperature of extruder reach to warning range limit) which simply mens the extruder won't heat this happened after i got a little rough with the extruder trying to unjam it. So i assumed it could only be the Thermistor or Ceramic cartridge heater (Which i thought may have shorted in itself because the wire covering was rubbed through in two little spots of the wires. So i replaced the thermistor and the Ceramic cartridge heater and it still doesn't heat. I'm new to 3d printing but i know that the thermistor heats through its resistance in ohms so i was testing with a voltage meter and it causes resistance in the head and turns on the extruder fan but the extruder still isn't heating so if i were to guess somehow it has a bad ground or for some reason the thermistor isn't working correctly so i am at a stand still. So any help or info you may have is very appreciated.

check for voltage at the plug on top of the extruder. the one that goes to the ceramic heater cartridge. make sure if you unplug it to check for voltage, that you measure the end coming up from the motherboard. just meter across the 2 pins on that plug and tell it to heat and you should see DC voltage. if not then you probably popped the fuse resistor in witch case you will need to look at another thread where we explain how to fix it

I check the voltage and I'm not getting any voltage but I've have looked at the board and it looks fine none of resistor fuses look burnt or "blown" so I was looking for some more help.

They don't always show any signs. You have to get a meter and check them. There are some other post like this that have pictures to show you which ones to look at.

Use a meter and measure the resistance of r56 and r271. It should be no higherthan ten ohms. If it is higher then that part is bad.
