Topic: Extruder motor/driver failure ?

Hey all,
I have been having issues with my 1.0 for a while now where it seems to start a print ok but after a random period it will stop extruding the filament.
My printer has been run quite a bit, I'm not sure of actual hours printing but would estimate it to be around 1200 hrs
I have been over just about every part of this machine and tried just about every fix you can think of.
I have seen others having issues caused by either faulty connections of wire breakages so that will be my next thing to check but I was just wondering, has anyone experienced a stepper motor failure or a driver failure ?

My motor and driver both failed on the extruder due to overheating caused by XYZ over driving them.

That was my reason for switching to a RAMPS 1.4 controller.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!
