Topic: Enclosure

My Solidoodle arrived yesterday, and by this morning I was experiencing the dreaded curl with longer prints. I'm printing from a cold basement (circa 57°F) and soon discovered that I'd need to enclose the case to keep the bed warm enough.

I went to Home Depot and bought two 12" x 24" pieces of polycarbonate (plexi glass) and some magnetic tape. I scored and snapped the polycarbonate in half, applied the magnetic tape around the edges, and adhered it to the printer. The four pieces neatly cover the open sides of the device and are clear and easy to remove. Total cost was about thirty-five bucks.

Now, with adequate warmup time, my curling problems are in the past.

Welcome to the family.  Post some pics so we can show others that ask how to close up their printers.

Also, don't be afraid to stop by the hacks and mods sections.
