Topic: Levelling screw came loose !!

Just had a XYZ disaster. Did a few good prints yesterday and no issues. Then today I sent something to print. I hadn't noticed the rear levelling screw had worked loose. The print head crashed straight into the bed and cracked it. Anyone lese had issue with screws working loose with the vibration ?

Scobo,
I looked on thingiverse and decided to print out the ones with the metal nut inserts part way through the print

They worked a treat

I'm a bit miffed I cracked the bed as it was a new one and had only been on a week or so. Anyhow as its only the corner I will live with it till my next upgrade. After taking some advice off barry1685 on this forum I spoke to Alex over at Proto-Pasta. He is going to cut me a section of their flexible build plate to fit the XYZ. It looks like it will do the trick but for now will just be clipped on top of the XYZ bed

My final plan is when my x-carve arrives in a month or so and after all the building and testing. I might take the XYZ bed retention platform out and make a new one out of Aluminium that will have enough depth to take the heat proof mesh, upgraded glass bed and leave enough space for the Proto-Pasta build plate to slot in. Working on a few plans at the moment but its going to take some time to get it right
