Topic: cartridge not recognised

This printer is driving me insane. Tried to do a new print on a brand new cart and it says not recognised? Tried another new cart same thing. Put the old one that has 96m left says ok but not enough for the print !! any Ideas what's going wrong ?

That's a common problem and one reason everyone is flashing their Da Vinci printer with Repetier so they can use other filaments. There is no fix other than cleaning the contacts real good and making sure it is seated firmly.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Just did that with isopropyl alcohol. It sees the cart now. FFS this software is rubbish. I'm going to flash it pretty soon. Trying my first 28 hour print . Hmm this is going to be long. I should have set if off before I went out metal detecting today but didn't get round to it. I'm off to the range tomorrow for a competition so should oh had it running 16 hours before I get back.

28 hours! What is it?

It was supposed to be a head from Gremlins 2. However I just got back in and after 12 hours printing the printer has stopped and says insert cartridge. Going to flash it cant be having this

The very first time mine did that I started er'flashin. Easy if you follow the guides. Just remember to recalibrate the bed BEFORE you try and print something smile
