Topic: Unloading PLA Da Vinci With Repetier

This maybe a stupid question but...How do you set the load/unload temperature for PLA? The default seems to be 230. I understand that is a little to high for PLA. Is there away to set different ABS and PLA loading/unloading temperatures with the host or firmware?

I load and unload at 230 without any issue.

For loading and unloading 230 is fine. That temp only becomes an issue if you let the filament just sit in the extruder for 30 minutes or more. It can harden and require drilling to remove.

You can also just use Rep host and set the extruder to the temp of your choice and use the jog commands to back it out. Or since the feed is spring loaded just push down the lever and pull the filament out by hand. Same for loading.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

the temperature for ABS and PLA are in stored EEPROM - you can edit them using repetier or just go to settings/extruder menu on printer
