Topic: da vinci 1.0 Aio scanner bug

Hi all


Is anyone else experiencing the following? Or know if there is a way to enable debugging logs to help troubleshoot?

System
Da vinci aio 1
F/w 1.1.5
Win 7
Xyzscan 1.4.11

Symptoms:
-"Preview" scanning works fine, producing the temp stl file which can be used in xyzware, and in short time frames.

-Full scanning always fails with "bad scan" on any object and 30 min plus processing.

-Calibration fails producing run time error in xyz sca everytime.


Hardware fault can be ruled out by preview successfully working, and put it down to f/w, drivers or xyzscan itself.

I'm going to try alternate configuration in the united file to see if I can determine the failure.

After that, without further ideas, im going to have be looking at f/w downgrade and or alt versions of Windows and/or drivers.

Anyone see this before?

I'm using xyzscan 1.1.18 and I'm getting good scans. If I upgrade to the latest ver I will get a error every time I try to scan.

Da Vinci  AiO with firmware 1.1.1 using xyzscan 1.1.18
E3Dv6 hotend with custom carriage with Borosilicate glass bed
123D Design and Simplify3D, Replaced PS with a Solidgear Flex320
Zerokart resetter,  Installed a Extruder Controller for higher temps

Hi I have the same problem to,

But when I try and calibrate the scanner is gets half way through and the program crashes. Scanning is awfull tried to calibrate it on another pc but crashes everytime any idea's ?

I don't know if you want to but there are 2 xyzscan versions in voltivo forum http://md5live.com/da-vinci-1-0-aio-sof … epository/ you can try these and see if anything improves. Like I said earlier I'm using ver 1.1.18 which came with my machine my scans are good and I'm not having issues.

Im having exactly the same problem...
been on with tech support for about 4 weeks now and they just keep telling me to uninstall and reinstall as administrator.... I HAVE DONE THIS ALREADY 4 TIMES!!!
Did anyone find a solution to this?
Been trying to find different scan software to use instead but cant find anything free or paid. Again anyone know anything 3rd party on software?

Well i have finally worked out that the manual for the scanner calibration is actually incorrect.
I kept getting error messages when trying to calibrate it and it was doing my head in...
In the manual it says to wait for the message to insert the calibration board....... this is wrong.
Before you click to do any calibration, place the board in side on the turntable with it facing away from you. it will then go through the processes and complete fully.
I am however still having problems with bad scans and program crashing on the scanner if anyone has any ideas?

Ps. I unplugged the two USB cables ( TOP RIGHT ON TH PCB )and used LOGITECH CAMERAS
They work better , NO LAZER FILTER
XUZ  LAZER FILTER blocs 80*% of th beem
