Topic: Transferring print jobs?

Hey everyone I like many mad the bad decision to buy this Da Vinci 2.0 printer. One of my issues is that its like hit or miss. I don't understand it and Im a pretty technical person. For example. Some times when I go to print something I see the XYZWare app start, gray bar moves fast then printer kicks in and starts to print. But like now Im trying to print this little v8 engine. After many tries I finally got it to slice and not give me a Checksumfail error. So I was happy. So I sent it to print and its just taking literally forever to even do anything. Im sure its hung and won't print. Any idea what causes this? It says "Object transmitting" but Im sure it isn't.

Have you tried a different slicer or sending the stl through netfabb

The stock software cannot handle overly large or very complex prints. If you plan to print things like that V8 engine your going to need a different slicer and software. It's 150 bucks but Simplify3d will connect to your printer directly and does amazing work.

Other option are slicing, modding the gcode file and renaming to SAMPLE01 and putting it on the SDcard and printing as a sample file.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Thanks guys for the quick response. I was looking in to the new Simplify3 the other day. It looks very nice. I may get it regardless if i keep this printer or not. I guess Im going to hold off on the detailed prints. Just wish I hadn't gotten this printer.
