Topic: Printed Surface quality

Hi guys,

I have a flashforge creator pro and I'm having a hard time trying to have a smoth surface on a small print. I tried to increase the temperature as much as I could and improved a little. Is there something else I can do to have a smooth surface?

Thanks in advancehttp://soliforum.com/i/?GOdSJo7.jpg

Re: Printed Surface quality

Decreasing the extrusion width for the top layer will help.  You can go close to half of normal but I have found (with a .4 nozzle) that the nicest results are at .3 to .36 depending on the filament.

I have 1.75mm ABS. Could work with .3? Should I change the nozzle diamater on gcode for the whole printing?

Re: Printed Surface quality

The first question is what size nozzle do you have?  I will assume .4 and if so....
Then in your slice profile try these numbers.

I am also making the assumption that you have gone through the proper calibration process for extrusion stepper and flow rate as explained here.  http://www.soliwiki.com/#Calibrations
