Topic: Smaller Nozzel Opening, is it possible?

I'm using the standard .35MM nozzle on my SD2 but I work in scale objects, 1:48, 1:64 and 1:87 Scale. that's 1/4" to the foot, 3/16" to the foot and 1/8" to the foot approximately. Thus it would be good if I could have my SD2 put out a smaller stream from the nozzle.

.2MM would be great. Is there a nozzel out there this size?

You could definitely make one, but it would *signifigantly* lengthen print time. Like 4-5x.

Makergear has a .25 that is compatible.  Currently out of stock however.

Elmoret- Thanks - Print time for the size piece I'm printing isn't that much of a concern. Pieces I'm printing at the movment take 33 minutes. The pieces I want to print would take 13 minutes. If those were stretched double it wouldn't be an issue at all. Print time isn't a big deal for me it's the qualtiy of the print that is important.

Ian, thanks. I'll check into that one and see what's what with it. It might be just what I need.
CHECKED: They are out of stock on the small nozzels. No idea when they will be.

Jeffery, Thanks. That would require a new hot end as the threads are male were our's are femail. Also, I've read, but can't prove it, that openings as small as .2mm have issues with clogging from debries.

If you get the qubd hot end it is for male threaded nozzles.  Also id imagine that what you said is exactly true,  if people clog the .35 it only makes sense you'd have bigger issues with a small nozzle.

Maybe. Not enough is known about the specific nature of clogs. I've known some old school rep-rappers who are still a bit fuzzy on the details.
