Topic: Serious software crashes and hardware issues, filament falling out?

Hi guys. I recently bought an XYZPrinting Da Vinci AiO, and there are two major issues with how it is functioning. The first is that whenever I attempt to calibrate or scan anything, the software crashes, regardless of whether I'm attempting to run the software from the computer or the printer. This is on a brand new, high end windows 7 machine. The second issue is that once I feed the filament through the tube and into the top of the (extruder?), as soon as the head starts to move for a print it merely falls out like it was not properly snapped in there. Anybody else ever had these issues, or willing to help me with a fix for them?

I had trouble getting the scan to work on windows 7 I have another computer with Windows 8 and when loading are you using the load menu button to load the filament in and its still coming out then I'm thinking it's one or two things your cartridge is jamming or something is wrong with your gear

Zerokart resetter,  Installed a Extruder Controller for higher temps

I am using the load menu that is on the printer, just as the instructions suggested to load the filament in. And should I just try to scan from another computer?

Are you loading the filament and letting it feed till you see several inches extruded?

I would try another computer and see if that works

I am not seeing the filament come out of the end several inches like you suggest, as every time it gets to the menu where it asks if it is out, I will continually press retry yet it never quite comes out. And I am soon to try my Windows 8 laptop to see if perhaps it is an operating system issue.

The computer is not going to affect your loading issue. The printer does not need a computer when loading filament or printing samples. If you are not seeing any filament coming out then it is not fully loading. During the loading you do have to push the filament in by hand till you fill the motor grab it and began to pull it in.

There are several possibilities on your loading issue. As carl_m1968 said, you must see the filament start extruding on load or it's not loaded.

I have the 1.0 and not the printer that you have, but on mine the load tube is slightly misaligned. I have to cut the very end of the filament at a 45 degree angle and at times "twist" it a bit while pushing down to get it to actually make it to the feed wheel. I have to put at least a minor amount of force on the filament pushing it down to get it to load sometimes.

The other thing that can be a problem is if you've broken off filament inside the extruder. That is not what your describing, since you would hear the feed wheel "click" if this was the problem you were having and the filament wouldn't fall out of the extruder, but it's similar in the fact that you would still not get any extrusion from the print side of the head.
