Topic: Windows 10 and the Davici 1.0.

Have not seen this talked about unless I missed it. Has anyone been running the beta version of Windows 10 with the Davici printers? Is it working ok? I thought since it is being released on Wednesday that it might be fun to talk about. smile

Re: Windows 10 and the Davici 1.0.

It is being released but in phases over the course of a week or more so as not to overload their cloud servers. So some of you will have up to a week before you see the upgrade. I also hope most know if you opted for the upgrade it is no longer optional. You will wake up to a Windows 10 machine. So if you don't want it or want to wait to see what others say, go back and opt out for now. There is no file to download and just sit on till your ready. It is on a cloud you have no direct access to and will be pushed to your machine when your area comes up. This is how they are also cutting into piracy by not have a file or files you can download and distribute. It is done on a per machine bases now through a cloud. That is why you need internet access for and during the install.

As for XYZware working or not, I doubt it as comm protocols have changed some and I know XYZware uses some unique access in order to cut down on the ability to use third party on stock machines.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!
Anycubic 4MAX best $225 ever invested.
Voxelabs Proxima SLA. 6 inch 2k Mono LCD.
Anycubic Predator, massive Delta machine. 450 x 370 print envelope.

It worked for me during the beta.

I've been running Windows 10 beta for awhile and early on there were some problems with the DaVinci, but they have all been resolved. It prints fine with the latest release of Windows 10. Windows 10 also comes with a 3D app and I was able to print through that app to the printer. It is very basic, but it did work.

Are you still on the stock firmware?

Yea I only have opted in on my laptop. The other 2 PC's I have are still running my old technet versions of windows 7 so I am guessing I won't be able to do them anyway. I have 2 windows 7 oem versions but have not installed them yet. I am going to buid a new game rig and install windows 10 on it. I was just wandering if anyone had been running their printer on Windows 10.

Yes, I am on the stock firmware. I just updated gov their latest software and didn't have any problems. I am using the cartridge deserter and have not had any problems. If you look at the printers installed in Windows 10, the DaVinci actually installs as a 3D printer with a different port associated with it. The latest software didn't have a problem recognizing it.

I am also on firmware E. I use S3D to do slice and upload to the printer. I hope that still works.
