Topic: Simplify3d Issue

I am looking for some help in trying to determine an issue that I have with Simplify3d. I have sent two requests to support on this issue and have not got any response in almost two days . Not real good customer support ! Please bear with me as I am a real nob when it comes to windows 8.1 and so far have not been able to get anywhere .
I have a Windows 8.1 machine that I have installed S3D on it 64 bit version. The program loads and I can import models with no problem, But my logitech performance mouse has no control at all. I cannot rotate ,zoom, translate ,etc. the build bed is frozen in the graphics screen. If I go to any menu item and then go back to the graphics screen the build area might jump 180 degrees. and then freeze again. I have shut just about everthing off that I can think might be conflicting with the mouse driver but nothing works. This machine is setup to run Solidworks and Mastercam and I have no issues with either program. I know this probably isn't enough info but I don't know where to start. Right now I bought a program that is useless until I get this issue figured out.

A big thanks to anyone who responds !

Re: Simplify3d Issue

So do you have another mouse you can try just to see if it is driver related or software related?

Re: Simplify3d Issue

Thanks carl for replying this is the first response from anybody that I have got. Yes I have tried a different mouse and it still has the same issues. Now since I posted this request I have loaded S3d on a machine that is a identical to the one that I am having issues on and S3d runs perfectly ! So I think that it is machine related but I don't have a clue where to start. Both Machines have a current version of Solidworks and Mastercam installed my machine has a few more programs installed but the difference ids that my machine has the Logitech mouse and the sister machine has an Evolute mouse. I just removed the Logitech software and it still does not run. I really don't know where to look in Windows 8.1 where all of the drivers are located. Its a shame that I can design complex mechanical parts and machines but I can't navigate my way around windows !

Thanks for the reply I am still wishing for that magic bullet !

Re: Simplify3d Issue

One other thing that I want to put out there for people to see is that the mouse pointer does work correctly on all of the menus and any buttons, but has no operation in the graphics area.

Re: Simplify3d Issue

I would try to uninstall and reinstall it. sounds to me like maybe it's having an issue display the graphics for whatever reason? Just a thought.

Re: Simplify3d Issue

Are both machine running the same video card and drivers? This sounds more like a video issue to me than a mouse. If both mice do it, then that rules out a mouse issue.

Re: Simplify3d Issue

hey dude I've been around mostly just lurking. Alaska is great the new squadron is keeping me super busy.  My printer is out of commission right now my Z seems to be bent so I'm looking at probably replacing it with a 3mm or 5mm rod.
