Topic: Website for Sale - Similar to Thingiverse

Hello!!

I have been working to build a website that could compete with Thingiverse. Unfortunately my work schedule is very demanding and I haven't had the time to finish, but I didn't want all my hard work to go to waste.  So I have decided to sell the site.  And there is definitely a market for this type of website so check it out.

The website can be found at www.3dUnderworld.com.  Feel free to check it out.  It is ready for a community of people to share files.  It is easy to upload files to the site and even easier for people to download stl files.

If anyone is interested just email me at [email protected] or you can email through the contact form on the website.

Thanks,
Anthony

Re: Website for Sale - Similar to Thingiverse

Yes that is true.  The website will need a few updates if it is to go public which would include an SSL certificate.  That will provide a secure connection between your browser and the website and would be recommended.  I would assume your company might require this certificate before allowing you to enter a website.

However, the website is responsive, meaning that it will adapt to your computer, tablet or cell phone so feel free to view the website from any of those devices.  The only caveat is that your phone most likely will not be able to download an stl file.

Sell me on why I would want to buy a edited Wordpress template, for an idea already in use.
It's possible, but do tell me why you think this would be a successful project for me!

Jus out of curiosity, how are you planning on monetizing from this site, if that is/was your ultimate goal? Were you just going to use this to drive traffic and then hopefully get people to advertise on your site? And how exactly are you planning on "competing" with Thingiverse?
