Topic: Black (metal?) dust under the bearing.
Yesterday I took out my filastruder after a year of inactivity and started making filament from white ABS/PC mix. After a 5 hour run on 185C I made 1 spool of filament and found a lot of black dust on the base board right under the bearing. Is it a known effect?
I have greased bearing afterwards but I doubt that many dust can come from it. It looks more likely as if the auger is scratching the barrel, but how did this dust end up on the wrong side of the auger then? The white plastic ring that presses the bearing is covered with this dust too. I guess I need to up the temperature a bit too.
