Topic: Hotend issue
Last week, I was printing some parts to sell at an anime convention, and after a few layers my extruder stopped extruding. It gave me an error message about the extruder not heating, so I checked to see if it had power going to it. It did, I turned the machine off, let it set for about an hour, then turned it back on. The extruder started heating, it printed for a couple layers, then it stopped printing again. I'm going to try to trace the board to see if the resistors for the hotend are fried, but if that's not the problem is it possible to replace the heating element? If worse comes to worse I may just overhaul my machine and put a ramps board in. If I have to go this route then it'll have to wait till after I've found a job.
