Topic: Remove the screw that holds the thermistor?

I was wondering if anyone has removed said screw?  I have problems sometimes where if a thin bit is warped even a tiny bit the screw will grab it and exacerbate the problem.  Is it necessary?  I dont use the auto leveling anyway.

You can remove it.  If you're not going to use the auto leveling feature then you won't need it anyway.

If you remove it you will still need to secure the thermistor with high temp rtv or wrapping kapton around the heat block.

im gonna try and solve the warping a bit harder before taking this path.  Had my hotend out again trying something different.
