Topic: I need a replacement chip, badly. My printer is dead
I am sorry if I am not up with all the terminology since I am new to 3D printing. I have had a DaVinci printer only a few months. In that time I have had more issues with it that I can even post here. It has one been one big pain in the.....
Well, the latest issues it that my printer was "walking" to the left as it printed. it wasn't jumping, but it would walk slowly to the left with each pass until it couldn't go left any more. After 3 weeks of trying to reach their support to see what was wrong, they sent me a new harness to put in. First of all I think they sent the wrong harness as not all the wires were replaceable, however that is not the issue.
The issues is I had my daughter helping me and she tried to get a connector on the right side of the printer loose and she somehow end up busting a chip in half. I don't know how she did this but if you look on the right side where the rod is that moves the extruder back and forth, you will see connector with 3 red wires. There is a connector there that has a chip in it. She said this is the chip she broke. It does't look like a major part but I can't find if for sale anywhere.
Now that the printer is put back together, the printer will go forward and backwards and to the left, but it will not return to the right hand side.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction?
I have a DaVinci 1.0a
