I've also put up a photo of the original nozzle in #10 at http://www.soliforum.com/topic/10440/ex … -clogging/ where you can see the conical shape at the top of the nozzle. This shape is important to mating with the heat break inside the aluminum block.

I just got my E3Dv6 conversion finished a couple days ago (printing again at least, needs more calibration). Lack of reliable spare parts was a big reason for me to convert.

]]> Thu, 12 Feb 2015 15:19:02 +0000 https://www.soliforum.com/post/84874/#p84874 <![CDATA[Re: Press replacement nozzle]]> https://www.soliforum.com/post/84872/#p84872 I wouldn't think you'd need to replace it for a clog, although I'm a noob too.  I've clogged my Press several times so far but I've been able to clear it every time with a piece of stiff copper wire.  I push it straight down from above like it was a piece of filament, I can usually force it to extrude a bit of melted ABS then pull the wire out and it will have a glob of ABS on it.  I clean the wire and repeat, letting it have some time to heat up in there and prodding/scraping around with it.

Sometimes it takes several tries before I can get the filament to feed again, but I've never not been able to clear it.
