New addition:
Wait for your print to cool off completely:
The glass is known to chip if you pull off a print before it and the heat bed completely cooled off. Using masking tap (Kapton Tape, etc). works as a replacement for the UHU stick and if your glass is chipped, will give you a flat surface to print on.

You could use a wireless card, but you have to make sure that all the files yhat are on the current card are put on the wireless. Not really worth it though since you can run files on the card with the stock software. You have to move a file to the card, call it sample01 and the print it from the printers LCD.

Hi, this is my first post, and I want to thank everyone here for all the information. My extruder would lose heat halfway through a print about a week into owning it, so I looked here and replaced the connector to the heating element as suggested. It's working like a champ now. I have a question, can I use a wireless SD card with the stock software, or do I need to run some third party stuff? Thanks again, you guys are great. This thread could probably use a sticky.

You guys are life savers. I am right in middle of a project and my da Vinci went belly up, yesterday. The printer is less than two weeks old and the heater seems to be losing power midway. So far I have had three incomplete prints in a row. Initially, I thought that the cartridge of a certain colour was the cause. But when I had it going on the monitor mode, the extruder temperature seemed to be unstable with temperature falling down to 40 °C during the print job. I was under the impression that the software might have got corrupted and hence was planning to reinstall it.
After reading the postings here, I feel I was looking at the wrong solution. Will try and tinker with the heater cable connector and see if it works. Thanks for the informative postings.

New addition:
If your extruder does not heat up properly anymore (happened to my 1 month old Davinci) , have a look at the connector. Ideally replace it with something more solid or simply solder the cables directly. Details can be found in this thread: http://www.soliforum.com/topic/6324/xyz … -properly/

New addition: You must calibrate straight after interrupting the demo print - do not wait for the nozzle and glass to cool off. Otherwise your measurements will give you wrong values.
