so guess they dont want us using their printer or only the test model was made to do some prints and designer left them and they dont know how to convert stl to svg as stated.

either way Im not much interested now. Ill just upgrade my SD2 and find a good cheap 3D scanner kit instead of perusing any more pipe dreams just deal with the one I have lol

I still believe though that fdm is kinda 2 times cheaper. I found (and bought) filament for 28 USD. (unfortunately I had to pay taxes for it, so I rise the price a little bit). Resin 3d printing probably compensate with quality.

Don't forget that with FDM, you waste a lot more filament on support than you do with resin. That makes up for the tanks on something like this.

Actually its 125 EURO. Aprox. 160 dollars a liter.

Tanks are consumables

One tank lasts for about 2 L of our resin. With a separate tank for each individual resin color, switching materials is as easy as sliding in a new tank.

LE2: found resin at 100 USD to be fair.

I agree. The early prices are low enough to blow some cash on it for 'just the fun of it'. But that build area is just too small. If it was 2" x 2" I would have jumped on it since many things could be shrunk to that size reasonably, but 1" x 1" is just not enough.

Its more of a novelty. But if you have a good use for 1" x 1" x 2" pieces to be done it may be the right thing. The biggest problem I see with this thing is they are using threaded rod for the Z axis and you can see banding issues on their prints. From the description it looks like the firmware will most likely be closed source so no way to fix that issue yourself by replacing with a mini ACME screw.

Other thoughts?
