I printed my 1st print with Nylon today on SD3 with stock extruder. Picture attached

Here is the lowdown on what i learned:
1. I used glass bed (an 8x8 mirror) with a sticky paper label attached to it. You can get 100 sheets for like 10 bucks on amazon. Adhesion is excellent. Part of the paper came off with the print. This is probably a single use application.

2. Top of the owl (the ears) had allot of nylon strings hanging off them and were not very smooth. There are 2 separate issues. When print head breaks perimeter of the part it will leave nylon thread sticking out. The second is that high extruder temprature will make nylon not very smooth if the print head stays in one place too long (Like when you are printing tall small perimeter parts.). Solution would be to print 2 parts spaced apart to let part cool while print head travels back and fourth. This will leave nylon thread hanging between parts that will need to be cleaned up.

Extruder temp = 215C on SD3 (this is closer to 245C on other printers)
Bed Temp = 50C (this temp actually does not matter. Nylon sticks to paper at any bed temperature.

Something funky happened with Owls Head, as shown in the picture. Not sure what the cause of the issue is.
There was light smoke coming off the extuder, so i printed with window open. Extruder seems OK. I think it was nylon fillament smoking. Light white smoke.
