I switched the sensor calibration over to manual mode because that is something you are going to do before you start spooling.  That makes it possible to have the middle button set the current guide position while in Auto.  If you need to change where the guide is, most likely you will be in the middle of spooling. 

The right button should plug in to guide min.  It's backwards on the blog.

]]> Tue, 07 Jan 2014 19:29:23 +0000 https://www.soliforum.com/post/46021/#p46021 <![CDATA[Filawinder calibration questions]]> https://www.soliforum.com/post/46015/#p46015 I have just finished putting my filawinder together, and I have a couple questions about useage and calibration.  I am referencing the instructions for this from solidoodletips because the current instructions do not mention calibrating or useage.

It says to calibrate the optical sensors I need to be in auto mode and push the center button, then run filament up and down.  I cannot get it to calibrate this way. However if I put it in manual mode and follow this procedure it works.  And I'm having a hard time getting the guide calibrated.  Is guide min considered towards the motor or away from the motor?  I have a feeling the logic is reversed and I need to be in manual mode for this to work as well.
