While its easy to LMGTFY and UTS as a reply to this request, have you actually done so recently? Search for E3D and tell me which post comes up first? then tell me which one you should follow. This forum is getting out of hand quick. There are 10 times more posts about 'how do I?' than there are about 'this is how to'. And its all over the place. Try to find the link where solidoodle has their hidden firmware and motherboard files on their website. I bookmarked it because the post is buried in an obscure thread.

Its easy for all the people who understand everything to knock down users who ask even the simplest of questions, but you have forgotten just how much there is to learn here. Not everyone has invested all the time we have in picking at all of the details. And quite frankly, this forum has alot to be desired in the form of organization, discipline, and misinformation.

Pick a simple topic like lifting and crawl backwards in time through the posts. Each topic will be wildly different with some replies being outdated or simply wrong.

Every info forum I have ever seen always has a "Noobs start here" right at the top. This is where people could be given all these 'useful' links to terminology, basic setup and operation, the wiki for damn sake.
