Thank you, it is the toughest thing I have ever done. Got home from the hospital, I could not hold a sheet of copy paper.
Had to learn to tie shoes, write and eat again. Am walking 1.5-2 mils a night now, I look like a Special Olympics athlete...but I get better each day!

About 30 hours on my SD3 and it no longer functions.

I am interested to see how this holds up as an owner of 3 SD2s and I hope it works out for you, but I cringe at the more than likely potential experience given my track record alone on 1 of 5 functioning stepper drivers.

All aside, can we please move this conversation to a separate thread? This OP was on a completely separate topic than Geeetech or SD bashing.

This is very off topic, but considering the comment, I would recommend paying attention to this thread since it may give you some observation to your current situation. Fast does not always mean quality, but poor customer service is a slap in the face.

Geeetech makes about a dozen different kits and such. I bought the SD2 clone. My SD3 has never been right since I bought it, and I finally got it working well then the motherboard went out...again...turns out the intermittent issues I had since day one were because of the board, which they have update and discontinued....so I have ordered a replacement from China, where the original crappy one came from.

Geetech customer service?? CAN'T be any worse than Solidoodle. Everything in the SD3 but the 3D printed components comes from China, so what's the difference? All the replacement parts from the SD2 Clone are available on Amazon and with Amazon Prime, they'll be in my paws before Solidoodle answers their email. At least Linda from the San Leandro CA distributor answers my friggin' email and she's pleasant to deal with so far.

Fourth day, still no email/phone return from SD.

Again, Solidoodle could rule the planet's 3D printer needs...but...

I design, prototype an manufacture...and then sell and offer phone support...my own line of www.ExpensiveLightweightStuff.com and have been doing so for twenty five years next April. It's me and my wife and an occasional motorcycle school intern, we don't have a problem with it all.

So, I ask, what the hell? Solidoodle could have the entire 3D printer market to themselves if they'd get off their butt and answer the phone/email, no?

Also, I have 2 additional fans, and an uprated bed heater. And out of curiosity, does the rumba have the necessary connections already there for an LED screen and maybe an SD card slot to run prints standalone?

What are my options for alternative boards, and what do people recommend? I find the board just can't handle and distribute voltage consistently and evenly. By the looks of things, Solidoodle have upgraded these parts in later versions (SD4, workbench, etc).
