I have a Rostock Max V2 printer that after checking half a dozen times am pretty sure its calibrated correctly. But for some reason the first couple of layers seem to come out very rough, after about 20-30 layers or so it smooths out into a what a typical 3d object should look like. I've tried using a raft to at least bring the rough layers lower but that doesn't work, even if the object prints off of 2 inches of support material (that look perfect by the way) as soon as the actual object starts printing it turns to crap for the same 20 layers or so and then smooths out. Any idea how to fix this? I've tried different temperatures, changing layer height, calibrating, slowing printing speed and ive got nothing. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
