Though it was my understanding filastruder could work with powder and the smaller the pellets the better. Though you could always use a kitchen sive to get rid of the powder, Though you would lose a chunk of weight. However for making a masterbatch it shouldn't be to bad.

I think the issue is more that the plastic sticks to everything (like static) so doesn't go down into the pipe. If it does, then I reckon the filastruder will be ok with it.

Now you got me wondering if a coffee grinder would work? One of those little ones for grinding a few cups of beans at a time, Cut off a few lengths of filament and in a minute you'd have a cup of master batch?

I wish I could afford to destroy much valuable filament into pellets. Funny work you are into.

I started with a cheap meat grinder that I bought online for $13.

My idea was to feed the filament backwards into the grinder, using the front grille to help hold and guide the filament as it is cut.

To do this, I took out the internal screw mechanism, and replaced it with a new shaft I fashioned from my old 5/16 z-rod, some printed parts, and misc nuts. 

At the front of the grinder, I added a right-angle gearbox with printed gears and an extruder-like feed mechanism that moves the filament about 3/4" per rotation into the four-bladed choppers.

This works surprisingly well, though it's a bit tiring to do manually.  Add a cordless drill, however, and it's really fun!
