Not to mention all the other ways astronauts expose themselves to health hazards and the job generally takes a toll on their bodies.

I may not be a paleontologist but I'm pretty sure the air filters on the ISS are better than we as average users can obtain/ afford

I saw that. Presumably their custom printer is a filament extruder, can't imagine a laser unit keeping its powder in one place.

Watch for the astronauts to be checking in here, wanting to know why their extruder prints into space. Oh, wait, that was my problem (unresolved, by the way).
