its really rather easy to use. In my experience, the perimeters of parts made with KISSlicer look much better than with Slic3r.

I will try to post up an example tomorrow.

Not really no. Just occasional knots bulging from my prints.

Both can cause "stringy" effects in my experience. You aren't experiencing that though, right?

Could this mean that my extruder is too hot and 'dripping' at the start? Or is it extra filament that should be pulled in by increasing the retraction?

I do use random starting points and don't have any issues with stringy filament between starting points or multiple prints.

That is exactly what the blobs are. I am just a little unsure on how to get rid of them other than to turn off randomize starting points. That only leaves a nice nasty line in my print. I know that increasing the retraction makes it worse so maybe if you aren't having oozing problems then decreasing retraction settings will make it better.

Those blobs are probably the starting points. Is "randomize starting points" selected in Slic3r?

If I remember correctly this was printed at 200c with 100c bed, if not it was 195/95. I get these 'blobs' occasionally with other prints at .3mm, but it occurred much more frequently with this print. I've done a fair amount of printing since I got the printer a little over a month ago, haven't had any issues with layers sticking. This may be an anomaly since the vase walls are so thin and called for 0 infill. My main concern is figuring out what causes those blobs of ABS.

I've done a lot of the calibrations, but haven't looked into retraction settings. Will check it out, thanks!

you might need to check your retraction settings. Trying turning the retraction length down(extruder settings) for this filament. Also, what temp did you extrude at? It looks like you had some issues with the layers not sticking together well. Maybe try to bump it up 5 degrees or so.

It looks like you are going the get an amazing print when you get this cleared up.

Printed a twisted heart vase from thingiverse. Printed with black Octave ABS at .25mm, enclosure, wellnut mod, on mirror bed with ABS glue. Any thoughts on the gaps between layers on this one edge, or the small blobs?
