punch!cad had viacad 2d/3d on sale the other day for $70 so I decided to grab a copy and learn it since tinkercad is closing. It is a parametric solid modeler at a good price and is supposed to have a bunch of tutorial videos as well. I havent had a time to sit down and try it out yet, but I have high hopes. I was thinking about doing Alibre as well, but I wanted something that could also run on Mac.

just purchased and been put on the long list to wait for my SD3. which is cool. so I though in the mean time I could master a good CAD program. and get some projects ready for printing

what's everybody using for drawing up their designs?

I was thinking of purchasing alibre design (now geomagic?).

anyway I was wondering if any of you use(d) this program or if you would suggest a different program.

was hoping for something full featured (as full as one can get for the 200$ price range) and parametric.

thanks!
