The XYZ machines do not print in stream mode. They upload the entire print to the onboard sdcard before they print. That way you can disconnect the computer at any time without loosing the print.

If you have the contents of the card saved I would suggest getting a new card and copying the contents over then installing the new card in the printer.

Thanks, but that is what I had tried. I’m not certain if my existing usbserial driver is interfering with XYZWare.

To eliminate this as a possible problem I tried again using a stock install of Windows. After I installed XYZWare I launched the software after connecting the printer with it in bootloader mode. XYZWare immediately indicated it would update the printer and the update dialog appeared. The process took a few minutes and ended with a message stating the process completed successfully. The printer was still in bootloader mode so I powered it off and on. The printer still didn’t boot.

In bootloader mode the update dialog identified the printer model and version as well as the serial number. The MacOS software uses a command click on the update button to display the open dialog for selecting a bin file containing firmware. On Windows I’ve tried a bunch of combinations. I’ve tried shift click, control click, alt click, etc. None displays the dialog. Does anyone know how to make this appear on Windows?

I’ve tried updating this printer unsuccessfully two more times. Both times the process completed successfully but the printer still wouldn’t boot.

This printer may have a hardware problem.

Bob
