It works, but if one printer is off, it causes a buzzer to sounds,, I may have the wires reversed,, but I now now it is possible to run 2 printers off of 1 zerocart.. I am going to reflash the firmware to Repeatier though and probably won't use this set-up.

I use version 1.1.E that is slightly modded so that I can print files named SAMPLE01.GCO through SAMPLE03.GCO off a Toshiba Flashair wirelessly.

Honestly it's ridiculously simple... I slice in Cura or whatever slicer I want (if Cura I use notepad++ to change all the G0 commands to G1, only takes a second) upload it to the Flashair from my browser on a PC on my network, go to the DaVinci and print one of the demo items.

Version 1.1 E doesn't decrement a cartridge if you use that method. Modding the firmware so that it could accept the DOS filenames that the older version of the Toshiba Flashair also only took minutes. Hardest part of the entire mod was to take the DaVinci covers off so that I could use a SDCard extender and plug the Flashair into that.

It took at least 20 times as long to get the DaVinci bed level enough that it would "save" the result so that I could just manually set the first layer where it should be and never go through that again either, than doing the rest of the mod.

Flashing will not void it as long as you reflash it back to stock before returning it. Flashing will erase the serial number but there is a very easy way to put it back in before returning.

There is no flag or register in this device that trips if it is flashed so they have no way of knowing you did it.

Also a word to the wise. Any of you who bought your printer from ebay regardless of model or if sold as new, you have no warranty. XYZ does not honor warranties on machines unless you can prove purchase from authorized retailers like Amazon, Microcenter, and other real stores. XYZ does not see anyone who sells them on Ebay as authorized and infact discourages it as a business. An individual is fine to sell theirs but again no warranty would be extended.

Carl, if you reflash the firmware, you lose the machine hours and they will know you messed with it.. But you are probably right about them honoring a so called "warranty" anyway..
I bought a used DaVinci from Ebay knowing there would be no warranty,, I think I got it for a good price, it had V1.1.G and showed no machine hours, so I knew it had been re-flashed.. only had a missing bed leveling nut.. but it prints like a champ. I did notice the left hand bushing on the y axis was a tiny bit loose, not sure if it was a defect in the plastic bearing holder or what? But it doesn't seems to affect the overall operation. The X axis stepper only had 2 screws holding it in. Wonder if that was normal on the earlier models? I decided to use xyzware to do a print last nite and I'm sure I had it blocked from the net, but it did a firmware upgrade on the printer and it printed crappy, so I downgraded it back to G. Really upsets me when it upgraded without my permission.. Now I have it block in my router as well as my computer. I will go to repeatier when I get some time to master it. This is a great community here, and I appreciate everyone that tries to help.. Thank you..

The software was modified to make it easier to change temperatures and filament lengths.

All that needs to be done when built is to place the refilled cartridge on the resetter and program it from the PC. The bonus is that the software and case are free, and no changes are required to the printer. I have a DaVinci 1.0A and FW is 1.0.1.

There are 2 versions of the software - a basic version allowing factory cartridge settings and resetting temperature with filament length (but only by delving into the code), as well as reading the cartridge.
The second version allows (via a menu on the PC) a factory reset, bed temperature setting, extruder temperature setting, filament length setting and reading the cartridge. The code automatically increments the cartridge serial number. The settings are made using the Arduino IDE's serial monitor.

So far I have not had any problems with it, but as a precaution I have the computer driving the DaVinci off line.
