Azerate hit the nail on the head when he suggested it was "moire" caused by not setting the stepper driver for the extruder high enough a little tweaking and my prints look good now . Thanks again Azerate.

Hello, I recently put on an E3D hot end onto my Solidoodle 2. It has the rev e motherboard. I used the first reddit instructions on google (couldnt post a link sorry) for updating the firmware. Everything seems to be working well except all my prints have large ripples throughout them on the edges. I have tried re calibrating the extruder (steps per mm and extrusion multiplier) and adjusting the trim pot. I don't see any slippage from the set screws on my printer either. I can't seem to find any other suggestions to try to fix this problem. Please help! Thanks
