Cura settings

I was trying to use Soliprint, and it was not working correctly when trying to slice something. It would place everything below the print bed, not above it. So I wanted to try Cura, because we use it for the robotics printers and it seems to work well. Is there any special settings we have to do to make it work with the press? I know that we have to add G29 to calibrate, but is there anything else in any of the settings that has to be changed, or can I just use most of the defaults?
