In general, are the exotic filaments types (defined as anything other than ABS) available in 3mm as well as 1.75mm?

taulman's series of nylon is available in 3mm, and most of the sites I've seen (thus far, still learning) carry 3mm alongside 1.75mm for their speciality filaments.

Do not know what type of 3.00mm filament you are referring to, but you can find 3.00mm PLA filament at Uncle Chucks 3D Printer Stuff.

PLA and PLA blend filaments are available in 2.85 mm copper fill , bronze fill wood fill carbon fiber , ninja flex etc, etc,
