Topic: Can the Da Vinci handle 3mm Filament?

I ordered some more filament the other day it got here today. I just opened it up and saw it was 3mm and not 1.75mm. I ordered the wrong stuff.

Has anyone else tried 3mm?

The extruder bore is made for 1.75. In fact poor filament tolarance of 2.0 will clog and jam it. To use 3.0 you would need to completely  swap the extruder for an after market and would also require you to tebuild the carrier and reflash the firmware.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Thanks Carl. I am going to see if Amazon will exchange it with the 1.75.
