Filament run out issue

Hi, so currently I am running stock xyz G firmware on my printer, and I have as of last night run out of filament in the xyz, so I used my arduino and successfully reloaded the chip inside the cart.

The cart now reads 120m however when I send a print to the printer it just comes back with the message on screen of out of filament. Unloaded and reloaded it using the on board function, that worked for one print and then now when I am doing another its come up with that message again, and I am still showing 114m on the cart.

any idea why this is happening? I am just unloading and reloading the filament to see if it works now

I am using after market filament fyi (and the prints are coming out much better!)
