Topic: Well First 3 prints

Hello all noob here entering the brave new world of 3D printing...

Thought I would dip my toe in the water with this little bargain printer... (will its allot bigger than I thought).

Bought 2 days ago and running firmware is 1.1.J

Here are my first 3 prints : -)

"Attached"

I was wondering if the quality is as expected and if not are there any further improvements to be had?

Also if you have any top tips or things to look out for with this printer please let us know...

Already greased the plastic x axis belt wheel, as that's been noted a few times...

Thanks

Re: Well First 3 prints

Congrats!  What print quality did you choose for your prints?  I'm guessing you took the default "Good" setting.  Changing that to "Excellent" will print at 200 microns.  If you go into the Advanced settings, you can go down to 100 microns as well as slow down the speed which shoulc improve print quality.

Also, look at the thread on acetone vapor bath if you really want to smooth your prints.  Here's the stormtrooper helmet I printed at 200 microns and then did the vapor bath.
