Topic: Colorants with old prints

So lets say I printed a solid 1in cube with red ABS and I grind it down into pieces, small enough to use in the filastruder, could i use the crushed up red cube pieces as a colorant with just plain ABS pellets to get red/pink filament?

Yes, but it would be pink, definitely not red. The shade of pink would depend on the ratio of virgin to colored material, and the robustness of the original colorant.

Also when recycling already extruded ABS how much more virgin ABS do you add? Like a used material to a virgin material ratio?

The answer to this question is well-discussed in industry texts and papers. Do a little research, my man. smile
