Topic: Printing PLA

Has anyone been successful printing PLA?  If so what settings ands speeds have you used. I seem to get 6-12min into the print and the extruder seems to form a plug and quite.  This I suspect is due to the filament heat tube above the nozzle getting too hot.  I even tried printing at 180c and 210c and a variety of speeds.  The experiment continues...

Re: Printing PLA

I am curious as well as I have been having the same issue with it forming a plug and then jamming and thought it was my PLA filament (mine requires printing at 230c - Phileex Brand filament)

Re: Printing PLA

Well, finally resolved mine. I had to upgrade my firmware to v1.1.A to v1.1.G as the 1.1.A firmware would crash the printer if I flashed the eeprom to a temp higher than 230c. Now with v1.1.G I can set my temp to 240c and it prints fine with no clicking.
