Topic: Medical Prototyping With my SD2

Here are some pics of a bone cement applicator I designed and prototyped a year ago. I bought my SD2 soley for my own use, but for awhile it filled in for the medical design firm I manage. Even though we have a Stratasys uPrint machine mow, I still prefer my scruffy little Solidoodle for some of the high resolution stuff. Not to mention, I can print with flexible, clear, etc. The uPrint we have doesn't let us do that.

Anyhoo, this was a little mock up presentation I made to illustrate the idea. I painted the 3d printed part to make it a little more water tight. Then, I simulated the bone cement with some adobe colored paint I had lying around.

Enjoy!
