Topic: Importance of grinding of lips of pipe nipple

I am lazy and don't want to introduce more metal particles into the system - how important is it to grind away the lip on the inside of the pipe? Certainly it can't be all that important on the motor end at least, or is it?
The ridge is nice and smooth and is barely felt with a finger.

Less important on v1.4 than previous versions. Assuming its a 1.4, you're probably fine.
