The prefix gcode your currently using shouldn't stop it from extruding. It has a few extra lines that mine doesn't. Not exactly sure what all the extra lines are for. I just based it off the one you copied and cut off all the extraneous stuff.

I have a lot you don't.
is it safe for me to copy exactly what you posted and put it in my prefix?
second what are your kisslicer settings? the ones with the tabs.
maybe mine are totally off compared to yours.

this is so frustrating.

Re: suport material

Did my bridgingtest gcode file work with your printer?

My prefix code should be fine. You just need to adjust temperatures to what you like to use for extruding.

Re: suport material

ok wtf its working
so what does that mean?

worked like a charm. kinda was moving pretty fast compared to what im use to but...
it worked.

so is it in my settings tabs that im wrong?

Re: suport material

that means good news...the world isn't coming to an end and your printer will eventually work with kisslicer! The complete prefix gcode is what i pasted above...Only thing you need to change in the prefix are the temperatures for extruder to set toward and wait for. Other than that the only thing that you need to change for SD2 to SD3 should be bedsize and center. Otherwise these settings should at least give you something to start working with. There are many things to tweak.

Re: suport material

works now, just need to fine tune stuff for detailed prints.
to do the fine tuning I would go under the printer tab and mess with the speeds right?

thankyou so much for this help you have no idea what this means to me
thankyou,
Ryan M.

Re: suport material

Well first things i'd input would be your filament diameter. Then "flow tweak" would be your extrusion multiplier in slic3r.

And yes, the speed tweaks are controlled in the speed tab

where in slic3r would I fine the "extrusion multiplier"? just so I know im printing about the same as I was with slic3r, because kisslicer is looking kinda weak, and is stringy kinda.

Re: suport material

found it.

Re: suport material

Filament settings tab. You should have calibrated this once upon a time

http://www.soliwiki.com/Calibration_of_the_flow_rate
And
http://www.soliwiki.com/Calibration_of_ … on_stepper
Are both very important.

yeah I never did that,
uh oh,
probably could get some even more amazing print quality if I did this huh?

61

Re: suport material

Should do calibration of extruder stepper first. Then flow rate. Theres a menu in RH now for eeprom settings that make it easier to change the numbers.

I don't have to do anything special with the reset button on repetier right?
I can just measure the filament and how much its using and compare to the what it should.
change the numbers to what they need to be and save to EEPROM right?

63

Re: suport material

yup. measure the difference. calculate the percentage its off. multiply times what the current number is in EEPROM. Enter new number. Save. Then test again.

64

Re: suport material

then I wont have to modify that part for kisslicer again correct?

just the filament extrusion.

Re: suport material

The extruder stepper calibration is only for RH.

The flow rate calibration can be done in slic3r/RH and then use that number in the flow tweak of Kisslicer. This flow rate calibration should be done with every different roll of ABS/PLA you put on because each roll will have its own difference.

Re: suport material

im calibrating the flow rate now,
printing a test box, that has an open top

after it does its two bottom layers it does about 6 perimeter layers then after that, it goes to infill again,
my box was created 40x40x40 mm hollow with a 3 mm wall thickness.

any ideas?

67

Re: suport material

never mind fixed the problem

68

Re: suport material

Thank you so much for these settings! The printer is printing flawlessly now!

The problem was the setting for firmware: 5D Relative E and Absolute E. I set it to absolute E and the extruder jumping stopped.

69

Re: suport material

i have kiss slicer downloaded and intergrated to Rhost i just cant get my head around those settings its all screwy to me after Slic3r..

ill give it another try

70

Re: suport material

If you calibrate the extruder, adjust the bed and enter these settings, you should get good prints. At least I did. I had to lower infill extrusion width to .4 and set flow rate to 0.95 and it is all good!
