Topic: Waiting for new chip to ship, can I print with this one??

So I'm awaiting a new chip because this one won't update, and I'm wondering if it's possible I can still print something. I've Repetier Host installed and I can move the bed and the X and Y around, I can heat the bed and hot end, and see hot filament come out. So all things seem to be working. Of course Home doesn't work right, but that's because of the firmware as I understand.

Because I'm anxious, is there anything I can do??

You can print just fine.  Use replicator G to center your prints and use the stock Solidoodle start code.  You can open up the gcode in Repetier and run it from there if you want.  The homing fix and Repetier start codes are to deal with the fact that Repetier places 0,0 on the corner rather than the center when it orients (Replicator G uses 0,0 at the center).  Also using homing in the start code helps the 3D Gcode render work properly.

You can use Repetier to run gcodes that you sliced outside of the program, you just wont see a 3D render of it.

Couple questions as I'm afraid to break something. What is the Stock SD start code? I've followed your instructions on your blog site on configuring Repetier and changed a bunch of stuff around. Also, in ReplicatorG, when slicing, it asks for temps, do I put 200 for extruder temp in there, or let Repetier do that from the manual controls? Lastly, in ReplicatorG, do I have to specify the bed size, or does Repetier know what it is from when I configured it previously??

I've been trying and trying, but it errors, then disconnects. I got the g.code from replicatorG, input it into repetier, heat up the bed, then extruder, hit run job, then it errors and shows these errors...

I'm lost, and i've looked everywhere for someone trying to do the same as i'm doing, with no luck.

Don't slice in RepG, only center and save out the STL.  Everything else in RepG is meant for Makerbots.  It might be possible to hack it enough to make it work for Solidoodle, but it doesn't seem worth it when Repetier is so easy.
