Anyone have a good one?  Free?  Cadspan is killing me.

I don't know what Cadspan is but for mesh editing I use Meshmixer.

Free and available for Mac and PC.

I just installed the CADspan plugin for SketchUp.  Never played with it before, but if you want to post what you're trying to do, I'll take a crack at it ...

Hmmm.  Okay, I think I see what you are getting at.  "Assigning" seems to take quite awhile...

In addition to meshmixer, you could also try MeshLab and some of its filters (though the lack of an Undo feature is a major PITA)

it seems to just lock up, you go to the forums and they are off line.

Like they shut off the servers for holidays and weekends haha.

spoke with Cadspan today! 

NICE PEOPLE!  They seem to get slammed on the weekends and trying to gte more servers up (4 now)
