Topic: newbie saying hi

Hi guys thought I'd stop by here 1st to say a quick hi before looking around smile

not got a printer yet but when I found out these sort of things are now available I been thinking I must have one smile

which one is the thing now, being in the uk I may be limited sad

does software come with printers??

any advice would be cool smile

Check around.  Seems there are various levels to the printers.  The Solidoodle seems to offer better quality, but requires more tinkering while others offer ease of use, but don't print as smoothly.  Not knowing how savvy you are, I would suggest you take a look at companies such as Solidoodle, Makerbot, Cube 3d, and some of the others.  Being a tinkerer, I chose the Solidoodle because I want to be able to experiment, fail, and fix the printer when I do so!

Most of the printers use open source software so usually you have to download it, there are a few companies starting to use proprietary stuff.

cheers guys, erm not very savvy with printers but I'am with computers and luv tinkering around with them smile
