Indeed... I'll still wait patiently in line for my filastruder... but dang.. that one has some nice industrial design elements to it... but not sure its worth the near double-when-shipped-internationally vs a filastruder.. I have no problems with a purely functional asthetic given the price point differences smile

An attached spool isn't the same as a spooling system.  There doesn't even appear to be any speed control for it.

It looked like the spool was relying on a slip clutch with a very small amount of actual torque being applied to the spool, as long as you could keep the pull even I think this would work ok...

I worry about still-warm filament being wrapped around a small diameter spool.

That was my first thought when I saw it working but then he showed the filament coming back off... hard to say til you actually put a few rolls through it in a warmer climate and so on...
