Topic: Help? how to make supports for .stl files that don't have them

I love my solidoodle 2. but when i try to print things that stick out, the print just falls apart. some prints that i have seen made have whats called supports with them.  how do i add those. im using repetier host

You need to tick the box in the slic3r config to turn them on.

Search the internet for Slic3r config and you find what you want. I think Soliwiki has some content too.
